About Habishine
A calm habit tracker and daily to-do that helps you build habits that last — grounded in behavior design, not streak pressure.
Why we built it
Most habit apps run on loss aversion: a streak counter that punishes you the moment you miss a day. It works for a while, then one off-day breaks the chain and the guilt talks you out of ever coming back. We wanted the opposite — an app that stays kind on the days life gets in the way.
Habishine is built around a simple belief: lasting change comes from small wins repeated, not from pressure. A missed day isn't a failure to be punished; it's a neutral, fresh start tomorrow.
The science it's built on
Habishine draws on two well-established frameworks for behavior change:
- BJ Fogg's Tiny Habits — behavior happens when Motivation, Ability, and a Prompt come together. The most reliable lever is Ability, so we help you shrink a habit until it's almost impossible to skip.
- James Clear's Atomic Habits — cue → craving → response → reward; the two-minute rule; habit stacking; and building identity-based habits rather than chasing numbers.
What makes it different
- Start tiny. Two minutes is enough. Growth comes later.
- Anchor to your day. "After I [routine], I'll [habit]" — attach a new habit to something you already do.
- Celebrate the rep. Every check-in gets a moment of shine — the reinforcement that actually wires a behavior in.
- Identity over metrics. Become "the kind of person who…", not someone protecting a counter.
- Consistency, not fragile streaks. A calm progress signal that degrades gracefully — never a breakable chain held over your head.
- One calm day. Habits and tasks live together in a single prioritized day, with one thing pinned to do first.
Who makes Habishine
Habishine is designed and built by AlgoMind Labs, a small independent team. We build the app we wanted for ourselves — private by default, gentle by design, and free of dark patterns.
